Mt vic race

The next round of the PNP series is on the 11th of october on mt vic. Youse should do it. Details are here

If you do go I suggest getting there reasonably early so that you can enter, which may involve a queue, and still have time for a warmup. The first task is riding up that track from the velo to alex road which would be a right pest on cold legs.

yep

I am keen to do that race. just need a frickn dog-bone for my i-drive and I'll be good to go. Grr stupid i-drive

the new comments have been bumped

from the list for some reason

bit hard to follow

that course description is a bit hard to follow but its mostly the same course, the different bits i can see are

1 new bit going up from velodrome to xover

2. going from the xover to the ski slope is much more direct, in fact its pretty much the wild wellington route to get to the grassy area.

3. next bits kinda the same but there seems to be a chute into charles plimmer park and a detour throught the park and looping round back to where last years went up.

4. next bit is a bit sketchy, shounds like last year but not sure where this wooden seat is?

5. when you get to alex park you head down the road to the observatory and then head back to the park on some of those tracks on that side.

6. after the big dipper and park with the new skills area theres some new bits getting back to the veoldrome.

agree. I suggested mike make

agree. I suggested mike make a map for it. and send it to the pnp people.

drupal

some issues

1. it would be good if people not logged in could give a name when posting comments

2. in the latest comments it would be good to show the name and perhaps a bit more text, dunno if the time is necessary

3. dont think subject is necessary when posting comments

4. sometime the content escapes to the right, wheres it going?

comment subjects are lame

newest at the top, whats up with that??

@don re: drupal 1. fixed 2.

re: pnp course.
- Wanna trace it out in the weekend?

yea trying it out this

yea trying it out this weekend sounds like a good idea, perhaps we can do that mt cook stuff again too

Well we checked it out, its

Well we checked it out, its quite a good course. Mike thinks the uphill walk is retarded but its not half as long as last years uphill, in fact I rate this track better than last year cause it doesn't have that first up and down section with the big climb between the summit and the chute. The different bits are pretty much as I described above, the biggest being between the dipper and the velodrome, theres a whole new jungle track section which is pretty cool. Mike is going to gps it hopefully Monday and get it on tracks.org.nz before the event. Mike seems keen to do the race, I'm not sure if I can be bothered.
